Autrefois un petit village de p\u00eacheurs endormi dans les ann\u00e9es 1960, il est devenu &#8220;Sin City&#8221; en raison de sa popularit\u00e9 avec des milliers de GI am\u00e9ricains venus du Vietnam pour se reposer.<br \/>\nCela a conduit \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de l&#8217;un des plus grands quartiers chauds du monde, Pattaya continuant d&#8217;\u00eatre une destination populaire pour les hommes c\u00e9libataires et de nombreuses personnes divorc\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Le virus a rapidement mis \u00e0 mal les clubs de gogo et les complexes de bars dont beaucoup ont \u00e9t\u00e9 contraints de fermer en raison du manque d&#8217;activit\u00e9. Ceux qui ne tiraient que peu ou pas de profit des ventes de bi\u00e8res souffraient d\u00e9j\u00e0 d&#8217;une ann\u00e9e 2019 d\u00e9cevante lorsque le baht fort a entra\u00een\u00e9 une baisse des d\u00e9penses disponibles pour les visiteurs et les expatri\u00e9s \u00e0 petit budget.<\/p>\n<p>Vers la fin de 2020 sans ralentissement du virus en vue, il semble bien que \u00ab Pattaya \u00e0 l&#8217;ancienne \u00bb ne reviendra jamais &#8211; mais que demanderez-vous peut-\u00eatre pour le remplacer ? Les optimistes qui voient la r\u00e9silience de la ville et sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 s&#8217;adapter \u00e0 la pression du march\u00e9 pensent qu&#8217;elle deviendra un nouveau lieu pour le tourisme familial. Certains d\u00e9veloppeurs sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 investir dans cette id\u00e9e avec de nouveaux projets passionnants.<\/p>\n<p>Par exemple, Marriott International, Inc. a sign\u00e9 des accords avec Asset World Corporation (AWC) pour construire le JW Marriott The Pattaya Beach Resort &amp; Spa et le Pattaya Marriott Marquis Hotel. L&#8217;adjoint au maire de Pattaya, Ronnakit Ekasingh, a pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 la r\u00e9union \u00e0 laquelle ont particip\u00e9 environ 300 repr\u00e9sentants d&#8217;agences gouvernementales et du secteur priv\u00e9. M. Ronnakit aurait d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que ce d\u00e9veloppement de la jet\u00e9e aiderait \u00e0 soutenir l&#8217;industrie touristique locale et \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les moyens de subsistance des gens conform\u00e9ment aux plans du gouvernement concernant le corridor \u00e9conomique oriental. Ces plans comprennent la liaison avec l&#8217;a\u00e9roport international U-Tapao via une ligne de train \u00e0 grande vitesse et le nouveau port maritime commercial.<\/p>\n<p>La proposition de la zone de Bali Hai comprend \u00e9galement un terminal pour les navires de croisi\u00e8re \u00e0 la pointe du cap, un b\u00e2timent administratif de deux \u00e9tages et une zone de loisirs couvrant environ 15 rai. Cela permettra ensuite au front de mer de s&#8217;\u00e9tendre et de construire des structures suppl\u00e9mentaires telles qu&#8217;un deuxi\u00e8me quai pour bateaux, un grand magasin, une passerelle et un terminal passagers pour le train \u00e9lectrique l\u00e9ger pr\u00e9vu. La rue pi\u00e9tonne voisine b\u00e9n\u00e9ficierait \u00e9galement d&#8217;une nouvelle zone commerciale de 38 000 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s con\u00e7ue pour offrir de nouvelles attractions touristiques. Pongtawee Lertpanyawit, qui est en charge de l&#8217;\u00e9tude de faisabilit\u00e9, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les travaux pourraient commencer en 2023 avec la ligne de 9 kilom\u00e8tres de long op\u00e9rationnelle d&#8217;ici 2027. Un r\u00e9cent sondage d&#8217;opinion a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que 80 % des habitants de la ville pr\u00e9f\u00e9raient cette id\u00e9e \u00e0 celles pour un tram ou un m\u00e9tro.<\/p>\n<p>Le monorail pr\u00e9vu r\u00e9duirait la congestion dans la ville et assurerait la liaison avec la ligne de train \u00e0 grande vitesse construite entre les a\u00e9roports Don Mueang et U-Tapao. La construction est estim\u00e9e \u00e0 26 milliards de bahts, la route se terminant \u00e0 la jet\u00e9e de Bali Hai. Cependant, le 5 septembre, Pattaya News a rapport\u00e9 que le groupe CP (Charoen Pokphand) avait sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 que la station du monorail de Pattaya soit d\u00e9plac\u00e9e de la ville de Pattaya \u00e0 Huay Yai. En r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 cela, le maire de Pattaya, Sonthaya Khunpluem, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que cela n&#8217;affecterait pas le projet dans son ensemble car, en th\u00e9orie, cela permettrait des connexions encore plus faciles avec sa relocalisation plus pr\u00e8s de la ligne d&#8217;autoroute 7, section 7 du district de Banglamung.<\/p>\n<p>Si les restrictions impos\u00e9es aux touristes entrant en Tha\u00eflande persistent, la meilleure infrastructure pour le changement de marque et le repositionnement de Pattaya sera la ligne de train \u00e0 grande vitesse.
