Pattaya has something to offer everyone. If you are into your golf, water sports or simply enjoying the local nightlife, you will certainly find it in Pattaya.

However, if you are looking to while away your hours during the day and take in some of the other attractions that are available then you won’t be short-pressed when it comes to options. There are so many different things available including go-karting and shopping but we have decided to focus on more family-orientated attractions.

Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens

No list of attractions in Pattaya would be complete without including Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens. Located on the Sukhumvit Road on the southbound carriageway heading towards Sattahip, Nong Nooch first opened back in 1980. Situated on 1,500 rai of land, the gardens were inspired by some of the finest botanical gardens around the world and have won numerous awards, including at the Chelsea Flower Show, for their displays.

It really is worth taking a trip to see everything that is on offer and the magnificent displays that can be viewed on foot, via a bus or even on the back of an elephant. There are several different kinds of animal that can be viewed and there are a number of small restaurants, shops and cafes available.

Ramayana Water Park

The Ramayana Water Park is Thailand’s largest located just 15km to the southeast of Pattaya. It really is a place where the whole family can enjoy the 21 thrilling rides in excellent surroundings. It is built to the highest international standards and offers rides for small children and the not so small children in your family!

Built on an ancient city, you can also walk around the remains or enjoy the floating market set amongst the lush green hillside. There are rivers and lakes to experience too so really can feel at one with nature.

Sanctuary of Truth

Located on Soi 12, Naklua Road, The Sanctuary of Truth is a large wooden construction built on 2 rai of land overlooking the sea towards Laem Chabang. This highly ornate, hand carved building is designed to withstand all the elements and reflect the ancient vision of earth and Eastern Philosophy. It is actually relatively young with construction only starting back in 1981 and scheduled to finish around 2050. It is well worth a visit as this is something that is truly unique.

Walking Street

Although we are aiming more at families, no mention of Pattaya’s attractions would be accurate without mentioning the world famous Walking Street. Home to Pattaya’s famous or infamous nightlife, Walking Street has evolved over the years and now has some excellent restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Take a walk along during the day and you will see a very different place to hectic hustle and bustle of the night time.

Floating Market

Pattaya Floating Market is located to the south of Jomtien on the Sukhumvit Road. This gives you a flavour of how Thailand used to be although it is now aimed mainly at tourists. Once again, this is something of a unique experience as it is rarely seen in other countries around the world.
