There is little disputing that when it comes to baking bread and pastries, the French are the best in the world. Here is Pattaya we are honoured to have a few high-quality French bakeries in the city where we can get the items that we so desire. Nearly all employ a native French person as the head baker and those that don’t employ chefs that have been trained in the art of French baking. Here are 5 of our favourites.
La Boulange
La Boulange can be found on Pattaya 3rd Road and has been offering French pastries and bread for over 15 years. They describe themselves as an ‘artisan baker’ producing only the highest quality products using the finest ingredients. As they open at 7am, they are an excellent place to stop on your way to work and grab a coffee and maybe a pastry that you can enjoy for your breakfast. They do a roaring trade and it is not hard to see why.
O’Delices
O’ Delices is a relative newcomer having only been open for around 6 months. They can be found in Jomtien Complex. Again, they are artisan bakers who bake some excellent bread that are amongst the best in Pattaya. They have a wide selection of bread along with an excellent choice of pastries for those who perhaps have a sweet tooth. It store, they also have a deli counter where you can pick up some of your favourite international foods at very reasonable prices.

Big C Extra Bakery
The bakery in Big C Extra on Pattaya Klang is also a French baker having been the Carrefour supermarket in the city previously. Once again, they are renowned for their excellent range of bread which is produced to a very high standard. Of course, being a quality French baker, their pastries are also excellent and are sure to have you coming back for more. The store also has a French section where you can pick up other French foods such as cheeses.
Le Ble D’Or
Le Ble D’Or is situated on Sukhumvit 89 close to the old Aroi restaurant that some locals may be familiar with. They stock a wide selection of bread and other French specialities whilst at the same time producing some excellent pastries. They are open throughout the day from 6.30am until 10pm meaning that you can go on your way to or from work as well as popping in for a spot of lunch. They offer some excellent salads, quiches and snacks in addition to their bread and pastries.

La Baguette
It is a common misconception that La Baguette is a French baker but in actual fact it is Thai. However, they do produce a superb range of French style bread and pastries so are deserving of a mention. They have two shops, the original next to the Woodlands Hotel on Naklua Road and the second at the top of Thappraya Road. Like the other bakeries, they are open early and close late so you can go throughout the day.
