Top 7 Indian Restaurants in Pattaya

Pattaya has a vast selection of excellent restaurants that cover cuisine from all four corners of the globe. At almost every corner you will find an Indian restaurant such is the popularity of the food with visitors and expats from across the world. Picking out just seven restaurants is difficult but below we have our suggestions about places that you should try.

Indian By Nature

Indian by Nature can be found at the entrance to the Chateau Dale Complex on Thappraya Road and is an upmarket, authentic Indian restaurant. The standard of the food and service is excellent and they also have an extensive wine list and other drinks that will go extremely well with your meal. They frequently have special celebrations and musicians playing that can make a real occasion of your evening.

Fisherman’s Café

The Fisherman’s Café is located on the east side of Mabprachan Lake and also has a superb selection of Indian food, Thai food and barbeque food. The place itself is quite rustic and offers a fresh breeze and panoramic views across the lake. The food quality is great and it represents very good value for money so is perfect for those living in the area.

Alibaba

The oldest and probably the best known of the Indian Restaurants and Tandooris in Pattaya. Alibaba is at the Beach Road end of Pattaya Klang and has a sublime menu served by waiters and waitresses in traditional dress. The food is excellent as is the service although the drinks menu is a little limited and the prices are certainly not cheap.

Tikka Centre

Don’t be put off by appearances! The Tikka Centre is located on Soi Buakhao opposite the entrance to LK Metro. The food is great and the portions are not too big so you can try a couple (or more dishes). It is very reasonably priced, the staff are friendly but the choice of drinks is limited to beers or soft drinks which may not appeal to everybody.

Tarka House

Situated on Pattaya Soi 13/4, Tarka House is another of the well-known Indians in Pattaya. Similar to the Tikka Centre, it may not been the most visually appealing but it is clean and the food is excellent and this is best illustrated by the number of Indian and Bangladeshi nationals who eat there. Overall, the place is well worth a visit for the food alone.

Madras Darbar

Found on Pattaya Second Road, opposite Central Festival, Madras Darbar concentrates on offering high-quality non-vegetarian food from both the north and south of India. It is well furnished and has a comprehensive menu although please be aware that they do not sell alcoholic drinks although traditional Indian drinks, mocktails and juices are available.
