The Northern Part of Pattaya is popular among expats and tourists, especially during the summer months. There are many restaurants, bars, hotels, shopping malls, and even casinos within walking distance of each other.
There are several different areas worth checking out in North Pattaya.
Here are some of our favourites:
Lan Po Naklua Market – Located just off Tha Phra Ram Road, this market is one of the largest open-air markets in Thailand. You can find everything here including seafood, fruits, vegetables, clothing, souvenirs, and much more.
The Sanctuary of Truth – If you’re looking for something a little more spiritual, check out The Sanctuary of Truth. This unfinished museum has a lot of history and beauty to it. It is located adjacent to the sea in Naklua of North Pattaya.
Thai Boxing Stadium – Thai boxing matches take place at this stadium almost daily at NongNooch. This area is also popular for its botanical gardens and elephant shows. For those interested in watching a boxing match, it’s best to arrive early because tickets sell out quickly.
With lots of discovery and monumental architecture to see, there are also food and popular restaurants you do not want to miss. The area provides various intercontinental cuisines and dishes from Chinese, and Korean to the Mediterranean and will definitely fulfil your appetite. Breweries are also famous in the area and you can find both local and foreign craft beers.
Conveniently located to hospitals, North Pattaya is also home to prestigious Hospitals like Bangkok Hospital. Located just on Sukhumvit road of North Pattaya, the hospital offers exceptional medical care and facilities at a price so be sure to check your health insurance to reduce any costly medical expenditures when you’re residing in the area.
What Types of Properties Can you Buy
Before you wish to buy a property on sale in North Pattaya, you should decide what type of surrounding you want. You can decide if it’s a garden view with a lot of nature and palm trees, a beachfront view with magnificent glowy sunsets, or just a simple view overlooking Pattaya City.
There are plenty of options to choose from ranging from private houses to more luxurious villas and studio-type condos. At Pattaya Prestige Properties, we offer everything upon your preference; whether you need just a 1 bedroom and 1 bath condo or a spacious house that’s got more facilities with a swimming pool, BBQ area, kids area, garden, and a parking area.
Although North Pattaya is not as convenient as the central region, it does have access to international schools such as The Regents for your kids. Nonetheless, you will have ample opportunities by relocating and buying a property in Northern Pattaya as you can also get around with Songthaews, and the Bus Terminal if you want to inter-connect to other provinces such as Rayong or Bangkok.
The future of Pattaya is also very opportunistic with new projects and infrastructure underway such as The High-Speed Rail which is due to begin in 2026. This links to Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang and U-Tapao and will therefore speed your commute.
The outlook of the area is looking hopeful with better market opportunities since Covid has hit the environment. Now with the EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor) investments, North Pattaya will have better business opportunities for foreigners or expats residing in the region. All in all, this is a good time now to relocate and rent a property in the area.
