As we discussed in a previous blog, there are plenty of nightclubs that appeal more to the Thai market but that doesn’t mean that they are reaching out to just these people. Below, we have listed 6 of the best nightclubs that will appeal to foreigners in Pattaya and included in that is a sprinkling of the more typical Thai nightclubs.

Mixx Discotheque

Located at the Bali Hai end of Walking Street, Mixx is a haven for foreigners from around the world looking to immerse themselves in the nightlife of Pattaya. This is a nightclub that is more akin to what we are familiar with in the west. This upmarket club that is split between 2 floors and plays hip-hop and R&B on one floor and trance on another. They have some leading international DJs playing and aim more at the younger end of the market. This is a well-known and hugely successful club so is well worth a visit.

Insomnia

When people mention nightclubs in Pattaya, one of the first that immediately comes to mind is Insomnia. This is a club that has a large dance floor and plays a range of music including hip-hop, R&B and EDM. This is a venue that is popular with both Thais and foreigners and is one of the cheapest in Walking Street. Perhaps, for this reason, it is one of the busiest but that is no criticism on the quality of the venue.

Lucifer

Lucifer is located around half way along Walking Street and is a very well established nightclub. Again they play 2 different types of music with the front featuring a live band that plays predominantly hip-hop although this is interspersed with some rock whilst in the back the band favours more hip-hop and dance. This venue tends to fill up earlier than some of the other clubs in Walking Street so this may be more appealing to some.

808 Club

808 Club is found above Candy Shop on Walking Street and is one of the clubs that people tend to head to when others are starting to wind down for the evening. The place doesn’t really come to life until around 1am although it does open at 8pm. This is a venue that has state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems and attracts some top DJs from around the world. They most commonly play dance, hip-hop and trance music although other tunes can be heard.

The Pier Disco

The Pier Disco can be found in the centre of Walking Street and has some absolutely superb live music acts – many of whom are international so foreigners will be familiar with much of the music that is being played. The Pier opens a little later than many of the other clubs in Walking Street although, like the rest, it doesn’t really kick into life until the early hours. When the live bands aren’t playing, respected DJs usually play R&B, and hip-hop to keep the night in full swing.
