Naklua has a wide selection of excellent restaurants, many of which are very well known. However, there are some real gems that maybe don’t know about or had forgotten about them. Many are hidden away inside the sois whilst others may have seen but you haven’t given them a try yet. Here are 7 little gems.
Wine Cellar
Wine Cellar on Soi 12 is an excellent venue and that is very smartly decorated. As the name would suggest, they have a great range of wines from around the world and the food is of a high standard. It has a friendly and relaxed ambience with groups always welcome. The menu is primarily European food with some Thai favourites also available.
Fat Belly Pattaya
Located on Naklua Soi 16, the Fat Belly is a slightly more upmarket restaurant and is another restaurant that has taken a great deal of time getting the décor just right. The menu, although a little pricey, is very good with some more unusual options available. They open at 8am so it is perfect for breakfast. Again, they serve a good selection of beverages although fewer wines are available than at Wine Cellar.

Ronin
This superb Japanese option can be found mid-way down Soi 16/2 and is a venue that is forever increasing in popularity. They have a large car park which adds to the convenience. Obviously, the food is Japanese although they do a have a small offering of Thai dishes. Booking in advance is recommended as it can get very busy, especially at weekends.
Anton Restaurant
Anton Restaurant has been around for a number of years and was previously on Naklua Road. However, since moving into Soi 27, it seems that many people have forgotten about them. They still have a hardcore following but the new venue is small in comparison to their previous place. The prices are cheap as is the beer with a wide variety of foods available. They now open at 1pm which is somewhat surprising when they used to renowned for their breakfasts.
Klein Heidelberg
Klein Heidelberg is situated in Naklua Soi 18 and perhaps slightly better known although it is surprising how few people have given it a try. This is another venue that opens at 8am and does an excellent trade with breakfasts. They are mainly a German restaurant although they have an extensive menu covering other European foods and of course Thai. You won’t find many wines available but pretty much all other drinks are – all of which a very reasonably priced.

Tree Tales
Tree Tales can be found on Naklua Road opposite Soi 10. Their menu focuses on “garden recipes” and the emphasis is placed on the quality and freshness of their ingredients. It is well set out and has a very friendly atmosphere and is child-friendly. It is well worth popping along and giving it a try as it is amazing how few people actually know about it.
Baba Eating House
Baba is located at the very top of Naklua Soi 16/2 and is a popular meeting place. It is a vegan-friendly establishment that serves fresh organic food which adds to its appeal. It has a very relaxed and cosy atmosphere and is a fantastic option if you fancy something slightly different.
