We all know that there are plenty of things to do in Pattaya but, in reality, we probably do the same things week in, week out. This might be playing golf, going to your favourite beachfront restaurant or perhaps just chilling out at home. However, if you are looking to do something just that little bit different in the afternoon, here are 5 of our suggestions.
Ice Skating at Harbor Mall
When you think of things to do in Pattaya, it is not surprising that ice skating is something that people rarely consider. After all, we usually associate Pattaya with warm weather activities but going to the ice rink at Harbor Mall on Pattaya Klang is a great way to enjoy an afternoon. Ice skating is a great pastime even if you are a complete novice and is a superb family out. The rink has only recently opened so is not surprisingly one of the best in Thailand.

Art in Paradise
Art in Paradise is located behind the new Terminal 21 shopping and is an interactive art experience where you not only get to see the exhibits – you can get to be part of them. There are a number of different themes throughout the gallery such as safaris and 3D experiences. Even if you wouldn’t class yourself as being an art lover, this is something completely different to how you may usually spend you afternoons.
Frost Magical Ice of Siam
Frost Magical Ice of Siam can be found close to the Regents International School and just off the Highway 36. Once again this is something completely different to other attractions on offer in Pattaya as you will find yourself in almost arctic conditions. You will be able to view a wide selection of ice sculptures that reflect more traditional Siamese art. You will hear stories about how the sculptures came to be and afterwards you can enjoy a few drinks in the ice bar which is located in the dome.

Mini Siam
Arguably, this is perhaps not all that different as the attraction on the Sukhumvit Road has been open for several years. However, it is surprising how many people overlook it. Here you can travel around the world in 80 minutes, in miniature, of course, and get to see some world famous sights such as the Taj Mahal, Sydney Opera House and the Eiffel Tower – all painstakingly put together. This is an educational as well as an enjoyable experience and is something that kids tend to love.
Teddy Bear Museum
Of course, this is something that is aimed at children but it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience nevertheless. The museum is located on Soi 1, Pattaya Beach Road and has a wide selection of bears, believed to be around 2,000, that are all arranged in interesting and amusing poses. There are 12 zones in total to really keep their interest alive including the Dinosaur Zone and the Africa Zone. Kids and even big kids will love this afternoon out.
