Although Pattaya is best known for its vibrant nightlife, golf and water sports, the city has several worthy charities that do a lot of fantastic work for the local community. In addition to our list of larger charities, you will frequently see one-off events held to promote a particular cause. It is something that many of the local motorbike clubs are renowned for. It would be impossible and unfair to list the “best” charities in Pattaya as they are all equally important in their own way but here are six charities that you may consider donating to.
Father Ray Foundation
The Father Ray Foundation is located on the Sukhumvit Road and cares for and educates around 850 underprivileged and disabled children. They are incredibly transparent with how the money they receive is distributed with an impressive 84% being spent directly on projects in 2018. They are credited with improving and even saving the lives of thousands of children since they were founded in 1986. You can visit their website here.
Pattaya Orphanage
As the name would suggest, Pattaya Orphanage is an orphanage providing housing, care and education to orphaned children in the area. It is located on the Sukhumvit Road, close to St. Nikolaus Catholic Church. The Orphanage is continually hosting events to raise money for the children in their care, and no child is ever turned away. Again, the vast majority of the funds that they receive go back into care for the children. You can visit their website here.
