With East Pattaya covering such a wide area we decided that it was only fair to include some of the restaurants that didn’t get a mention in Part 1. This isn’t to say that those in the first instalment are better or vice versa, just that we appreciate that some may have been missed that thoroughly deserved to be on the list.
Nong Bistro
Nong Bistro is one of the gems of the Darkside and is not surprisingly owned by Nong. The menu consists of both European and Thai dishes that have been expertly prepared by the head chef who has worked at some of the top establishments in Pattaya. The food is excellent and the service is polite and efficient therefore giving you everything that you could wish for. Nong Bistro can be found on Soi Siam Country Club.
Suggestions Cozy Restaurant
Located on Soi Nernplabwan, Suggestions is a restaurant that definitely lives up to its cozy name. The staff are very welcoming and specials board is enough to whet anyone’s appetite with a choice of more unusual dishes such as ostrich or venison. This is predominantly a Belgium restaurant although a wide variety of European and Thai food is also served.
Aroi Pub Resto
You will find Aroi Pub Resto on Sukhumvit 89. The restaurant is very modern in its appearance and serves some excellent food with cuisine from around the globe available. From Wednesday until Sunday a range of buffets are served that represent excellent value – especially if you have a healthy appetite. They also have an extensive wine list along with a wide selection of Belgium beers.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in the area and diners can enjoy their food in a very relaxed atmosphere.
Kung & Pinky
Located just off Soi Siam Country Club, Kung & Pinky is small but good quality restaurant with very friendly staff. It may not be a fine dining restaurant but the food is excellent and great value. The menu is quite large and consists of both Thai and Western dishes.
Tropical Bar
Tropical Bar is situated on Soi Khao Noi and is owned Bert who used to have Tropical Bert’s on Soi 6/1. This is a fantastic family location and a popular choice with expats. The food is of a good quality with a wide range of European and Thai dishes available all at very reasonable prices.

The Retox Outback Bar certainly deserves a mention and lives up to the high standards of the other restaurants in the group.
