There is little doubt that some of the beer bars in Naklua have taken something of a beating in recent years but the best ones have managed to weather the storm. Whilst footfall in the area has declined – certainly, in terms of the number of westerners, the main bars have managed to continue and become the places to go for expats and tourists in the area. Blue Marlin
Blue Marlin has now returned to the main Naklua Soi 18 road having previously moved into an area consisting of many small bars further down the road. This is a Thai/German bar but attracts customers from around the world. They have a large number of people working there and the prices that they charge are very reasonable, particularly at happy hour. Major sporting events are shown here along with the Bundesliga.
Party Bar 2
Party Bar 2 is a relative newcomer having only opened around 18 months ago and can be found on Naklua Road. This is a large bar that proves popular in the evenings and frequently has live music. They also have an extensive food menu that is very reasonably priced. The owners are always present so this helps to ensure that everything runs smoothly and everyone has a great time.

Honey Bar 2
Honey Bar 2 is located next to Party Bar 2 and is a well-established bar which is now under new management. They have a regular crowd of locals who go most days which helps to create a pleasant atmosphere without being too clicky. The client-base is mainly German and Austrian although everyone is made to feel welcome. Again, live music is regularly available.

Jack Bar
Jack Bar is one of the longest-running bars in Naklua and has been open for around 25 years. Last year the bar was forced to relocate a few metres from the original home on Naklua Road to accommodate a new hotel. Most of the customers and customers have remained loyal, and it is still one of the busiest bars in the area.
Drum & Monkey
The Drum and Monkey is a small bar on Naklua Road close to the junction with Soi 18. It has a loyal customer base with several girls working each night. Food is served until the early evenings, which is good value and good quality. The prices are cheap during the day time, and you will always find someone to talk to.
Ryan’s Bar
Ryan’s Bar is a well-established sports bar on Naklua Road. Like many of the other bars in the area, it isn’t as busy as it used to be but is still a reasonable option in the area. The prices are slightly higher than many other bars in the area although they do get quite a few people in for Premier League football. The client base is mainly British.
TJ’s Bar
TJs Bar is a well-known ladyboy bar on Naklua Soi 18. All of the “girls” are ladyboys but aren’t threatening with the bar being popular with people from all walks of life. The owner is always present in the evenings and overall, the bar is very friendly and popular.
